Again nothing to to with Rugby but SO SO TRUE!!
Barbecue Season! After the long months of cold and winter, we’re coming up to summer and the BBQ season. Therefore it is important to refresh your memory on the etiquette of this sublime outdoor cooking, as it's the only type of cooking a real man will do, probably because there is an element of danger involved. When a man volunteers to do the BBQ, the following chain of events are put into motion: Routine... 1) The woman buys the food. 2) The woman makes the salad, prepares the vegetables, and makes dessert. 3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and takes it to the man who is lounging beside the grill - beer in hand. Here comes the important part: 4) THE MAN PLACES THE MEAT ON THE GRILL. More routine.... 5) The woman goes inside to organize the plates and cutlery. 6) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is burning. He thanks her and asks if she will bring another beer while he deals with the situation. Important again: 7) THE MAN TAKES THE MEAT OFF THE GRILL AND HANDS IT TO THE WOMAN. More routine..... 8) The woman prepares the plates, salad, bread, utensils, napkins, sauces and brings them to the table. 9) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes. And most important of all: 10) Everyone PRAISES the MAN and THANKS HIM for his cooking efforts. 11) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed "her night off." And, upon seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that there's just no pleasing some women!

| no offence to anyone like but its probably a waste of time advertising it here and expecting a response cause most of the time it seems there is only a handful of posters willing to leave messages? If you and anyone else thinks it's a plausable idea to have a summer rugby club BBQ/fun day it should be organized and set up and everyone told about it. Also i think it would be good to keep club spirits together during the summer dont ya think ? |

Hey Tommy Two a*** thats not a soap box you're standing on by any chance is it???
Are you up for having a go at organizing it? I dont mind giving you a hand. Need to start with a date and a venue. We used to do one years ago on a field belonging to Uncle Bill and Aunty Joyce which he used to mow for us.
You can also tell by the statistics how many are reading the site but not logging in. Dont know why they must have something to hide!!! |

Posh suggested having a Club's Fastest Man competition. We could maybe co-incide this with the family day If we have this towards the end of August, we would have had a good amount of pre-season training to get people fit and to spread the word about the event...
Thoughts... |

Great lets get a Sunday at the end of August sorted.
I presume that because its called the Fastest Man competition that the men would feel very threatened if a woman like me were to enter and then win it so therefore do not worry I am not offended that I havent been asked as long as people are aware that I could have won it with both legs tied behind my back!!! |

A Copmetition Mr Riff is very similar to a competition only it doesnt require quite as many brain cells to take part, or even spell it for that matter Anyone with idea's they want to contribute towards this funday/barbecue dont hesitate to post. General repsonse so far from people asked is that it would be a good idea and a good day to get together and sink a few nice cold beers and have a laugh! Spot the deliberate mistake this time Riff |
