It was wonderful to turn up to the first session of the new season for the junior section and to see so many children and parents in attendance. 83 children attended the session run by the club coaches and ably supported behind the scenes by the brilliant ladies -refreshements, registration, sale of club kit etc.
On behalf of the Committe, may I take this opportunnity to congratulate everybody who is involved in running the juniors.Above all it was great to see Kath (sexy coach) Bates watching her children yesterday. Kath was the person who has driven the section for the past two years and put us on the map and was ably supported by those members now carrying on her excellent work.
We would also like to thank Nicky LeGrice for all her tireless work over the last two years.
If any members wish to come along and help Pete Harrison,Andy Bailey etc with the sessions. please get in touch.
Once again, congratulations to all concerned and it is great to see the future of Ashbourne RUFC is assured with the talent on show yesterday --boys and girls!!!
