Now we seem to be above board with having 4 teams ie. they are all in leagues, is there any chance of each team having the correct/better equipment?
The reason I ask and I'm not one to bitch but on Saturday I felt the 4th team went a bit short in the equipment department
1) The Shirts- Last season new shirts were provided to the 3 existing senior teams. Surely the 4th team this season can have the best of what was left over? ie. the 1st XV shirts from the 05'06 season? The shirts that we did have had seen better days, the vast majority of which were one shirt pull away from resembling a scarf!
2)First aid kit- There wasn't one. On this occasion it was me that got injured and it was fortunate that it wasn't too severe (this time) but a first aid would have been handy.
On the plus side the ref had a shiney new whistle, a wallet with red and yellow cards and we had 3 new balls!
You're not the only ones without a first aid kit. When PK was injured last week I offered to go on but no kit was available. Having asked Sam, Martin Fryer and Andy Bailey where it was I went upto the shed but there is nothing there.
It doesnt look professional and the referee is well en--wobbly jelly--led to send off anyone injured that is not being looked after by a first aider no matter how minor the injury!!
Mickey the rumours are you didn't get injured at rugby on Saturday. We heard you were attacked by a pack of rabid, man eating Yorkshire Terriers at home.
I agree with Mickey on the note about the kit......but more so...the 4th team is a league side with real league fixtures, why should one team in the club have to scrat around for a kit each week. In the name of equality surely the 4th XV are worthy of a new kit just the same as any of the other teams? Or maybe not as the case may be?
I like your prompt support for the point I raised over a year ago!
I think even if there isn't a new shirt for the 4ths there has to be better kit available e.g. last seasons 3rds shirts? When we played at bloxwhich the shirts we used consisted of 3 different types.
