What is the concencus of opinion about the over 35- under 35 game this Christmas break?
It would be preferable to know how much interest there is in playing the game as it is,as an age thing,or would it be easier just to get thirty or so players down to the rec and sort two teams out on the day? Having spent the last few years ringing round and getting more than enough people for the over 35's it's very disappointing when only the bare 15 turn up. Do we put a poster up in the legion asking those who are interested to put their names down and see how many people are available to play? Does anyone have any preference as to when the game is played, if at all!! As Xmas day is on a Thursday this year this leaves Sat 27th or Sun 28th as favourites to play. All opinions are greatfully appreciated.
In which cases might it be an idea to make over/under 30's then? This might make the teams a lot easier to pick, I've also thought having it over 35's was a bit of a stretch.
I'd be up for a game anyway, even if it is only me and you mrleech- I promise I will be gentle!
